Know Before You Throw! Do you "wishcycle"?

Just because you want something to be recyclable so you throw it in the recycling bin does NOT mean that it will be recycled. In fact, it contributes preventing recyclable objects from being recycled, or can hurt recycling workers.

Click this image to learn about common items that can't be recycled but are found in recycling bins or at depots.

*Please follow sorting instructions at each depot and ask depot staff if you have any questions about what is and is not recyclable -- they try hard to eliminate contamination to ensure collected materials can be properly recycled.
